This course reviews the ICP level 1 material before diving deep into skills analysis. Topics include rider stability, teaching strategy/plans and gauging success. Each move is broken down including follow-through and safety notes. Observation and detecting/correcting errors is a focus of the course. Each ICP participant will be tested on this ability during their practical evaluation. In order to pass the ICP Level 2 course, participants must demonstrate understanding of the material, perform a teaching simulation, and pass a written test. PRE-REQUISITES: IMBA Level 1 certification, Current First Aid and CPR SKILL QUALIFICATIONS: Intermediate to advanced riders who can confidently execute and demonstrate mountain bike skills. Registrants should have five or more years of mountain biking experience, good communication skills, and be passionate about riding, helping others, and safe progressions. This class consists of a 3-hour evening classroom session (day 1) and 3 days of field work (days 2-4). A full schedule will be sent prior to the workshop. Participants are required to provide personal Mountain Biking equipment. If you need to rent a bike and/or helmet for the ICP, contact the host market for details. Registration will close two weeks prior to the event in order to allow time to get pre-course materials to students. Cancellations within that two week window will require calling the local Outdoor School market.
