I recently visited one of my favorite places on this earth, Mulberry Gap. It had been a long long time since I had visited and so I was anxious to go and see some good friends and get some awesome riding in. I brought two friends with me, Billy and Nick, that are relatively new to mt. biking. Neither of them had been to Mulberry before so it was cool to introduce them to such a cool place. Mulberry Gap is a mt. bike get-a-way of sorts. It is nestled in the Cohutta wilderness and has a nice campground, cabins, hot tubs, an event barn, game room, amazing food, amazing staff, and as many miles of single track bike trails as your heart could possible desire. It is also a simply beautiful place. It's beauty can't be put into words, you just have to go. As you can tell by now, I love that place. I took Billy and Nick on a good solid wilderness ride. We climbed a few mountains and they got a good taste of what mt. biking in the wilderness is all about. The weather was perfect. The ride was great. We got back to Mulberry after our ride and Andrew and Ginny from Mulberry had food cooking. If you have never been on a long mt. bike ride then let me tell you that the hunger you experience after being on your bike for several hours is unlike any other hunger. It is a very demanding hunger. We were fed quite appropriately. We stayed after for a while and caught up. There is a quality to that place that I don't quite know how to describe. There are places in this world that, as Joanne Marie from Bluegrass Grill would put it, are nourishing to the soul. These places aren't always outwardly "Holy" places either. They could be restaurants, barber shops, clothing stores, grocery stores, farmers markets, or any other number of places. Both Mulberry Gap and Bluegrass Grill have this quality. I left Mulberry feeling revived and nourished. R Daigle, Chattanooga

Big Thanks to all the wonderful people at Mulberry Gap for making my two week stay a memorable one! Diane, Ginni, Andrew, Kate, and of course all of the dogs made for a great trip. Rode many miles, made lots of new friends, ate tons of great food, and suffered through the wonderful pain that is the Drama Queen (Thanks Mike & Terry). I look forward to next years DQ, and will be visiting again soon! D Myers, Atlanta
