Comments from our mountain biking, hiking and camping guests

You two ladies are so wonderful and sweet.  You made our stay here so pleasant and we truly felt at home.  Thank you so much for everything and we will be back!  Keep in touch.  We will help put Mulberry Gap on the map.  It is an incredible place and there are no two better people for the job!  Thank you so much!  Aloha, Pua & Ron (Koa too!) This week has been absolutely amazing.  It's gonna be really hard to get that across to our friends back home.  There hospitality that you provided made us feel like family.  It was really nice getting to know both of you amazing women.  I could write a book on this place... but to sum it up rather simply... Simply amazing and awesomely sweet.  Matt and Brandon, New Jersey March 08

Wow....Where to start.  If you're reading this, you probably have experienced the absolute pinnacle of hospitality and amazing beauty that is Mulberry Gap.  Ginni, you are by far the most sublime chef this ragged traveler has had the privilege of meeting.  My palate has been ruined for all others.  I cannot express how great each and every meal was....superlative!  Diane, thank you so much for having such an amazing place.  I have had one of the most memorable vacations of my life thanks to your vision and kindness.  This place is a haven in this whirlwind society.  I consider you family and will go forth and spread the gospel.  Everyone needs a little Mulberry Gap in their life.  Rachel, your shoes rock, Vans for life!  And dear, dear Mandy (camp dog), you'll always hold a place in my heart.  We'll always have that time in front of the fire.
Epic rides, epic races, epic food.  Oh, I'll be back!  Snake Creep Gap TT '09 Baby!  Chris & Bill, Michigan 3-08

Twelve old friends & new, from the Atlanta & North Carolina Chapters of the Mosaic Outdoor Clubs, braved the elements and spent an amazing weekend at a secluded, peaceful mountain village – 2.5 hours north of Atlanta - called Mulberry Gap. They had a wonderful time and wish to share some photographs with you. Twelve Friends

Though awakened by the force of the rain on the roof, I turned over and drifted back to that state of in betweenness ....  not asleep, not awake, conscious but not aware.  Yes, I really was in a bunk bed in a real honest to goodness cabin at a slice of heaven on earth called Mulberry Gap Bunkhouse Inn. Still without hunger as last night's wondrous meal was still working it's way through my body and soul, I none the less had visions of the fresh java brewing as I lay here in my pine encased cocoon.  The few steps it would take me to reach the camp house, with its central wood stove would not be bothered by a little wetness in the least.  Actually, sitting by that stove, grasping that oversized cup and enjoying the early morning banter with Ginni and Diane make things all the more special. What a wonderful getaway from the rest of the world.  Your warm hospitality and delicious food makes us want to keep coming back.  Thanks for going above and beyond to make our stay so memorable.  This is our second time here, first time in the cabin.  Our last visit was in our pop-up camper.  We can't wait for many more.  Thanks again!  Sandy &: Aaron  Hiram, Georgia

Celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary here.  Enjoyed being surrounded by nature and took lots of wildlife photos.  We were privileged to see a wild turkey with her chicks and get some close up photos (what a delight).  Enjoyed hiking to see Holly Creek with the Rhododendron and Mt. Laural in flower.  Can't wait to come back and bring all our friends and family.  It's such a special place. Bruce & Laura, Dunwoody, GA

We found that Juda enjoys watching fish and sometimes "falling" into the pond.  The trails are really amazing, Earn your Turns (Pinhoti 3).  Sorry we only got to spend two days in this wonderland.  There are more trails to be ridden....so I'm sure we'll be back....for the pulled pork. Saw a black bear on Bear Creek Trail - "go figure".  A quad stuck off the trail.  4 1/2 & 1 1/2 hour rides. Love this place - the food, the energy, the riding, oh yeah, the hot tub too!  Diane & Ginni are perfect hosts!! Guess we'll be back.... (twist my arm tho). DeJay, Rebecca & Juda

James and I wanted to write to tell you what a wonderful time we had last weekend! We loved Mulberry Gap and hope to come back many more times in the future! Thanks for having such a wonderful place! Amy Davis and James Bigler

Stayed here for New Year's with 4 other people.  We were nice and cozy.  Had a great meal.  Did night ride on mountain bike to top of Bear Creek Road to watch fireworks.   Anderson family,  Cummings, GA

"This was a wonderful base camp for exploring the GA mountains.  The gravel run up thru the Cohuttas into Blue Ridge was awesome.  Your hospitality is second to none and this will be my place to stay on any other motorcycle trips to this area."  Steve, Panama City, FL

In Steve's bog he wrote, "My company gives you your birthday day off. We have been very busy so I had to postpone it a few times. Last Wednesday it worked out that I could take Monday the 5th off so I started planning a trip. Being a Florida boy the 35 deg lows forecast for the weekend started me searching for alternatives to tent camping.

For $50 a night I got a comfortable (and warm) cabin, use of the hot tubs, some of the best breakfasts and dinners I have ever had. That’s right, both meals were included in the price and so many little extras as well that just made staying there a super experience. To top it all off it was located right at the base of the Cohutta Wilderness area and right near where Hwy 2 gets real fun going up over the mountain."

Steve included several photos some of which highlight our wonderful fall colors, enjoy!

Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality!  You've given us a truly relaxing weekend and we felt at home!  Kevin and I enjoyed every minute of everything here and the food was great!  Words aren't enough to describe the beauty of this place and you two. God Bless and I'll see you again soon.  Carla, St. Johns, FL

I truly appreciate the hospitality.  I have been away from home a year now and coming here made me feel as if I were home again.  Thank you! Kevin, Jacksonville, FL

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.  You have made us feel so welcome & comfortable.  There is such peace and serenity here as well as lots of fun.  The food was extraordinary to say the least.  It has been great being here & we hope to return. Sandy & Rick, Lilburn,GA

What a fantastic, beautiful place!  Where else can you mountain bike (love the Pinhoti/Bear Creek trail) for miles and miles right from your cabin, relax in the hot tub while viewing the mountain scenery, get a nice hot shower, and have a phenomenal home cooked meal all in a span of a few hours!   There are also tons of trails to hike and it's close to Ellijay (if you really want to leave but there's no reason to!).  Mulberry Gap is one of my very favorite places to stay, bike, relax, chat (very friendly owners), and eat!  My entire family looks forward to the weekends at the "bunkhouse"!   Davis family, Atlanta, GA

This will be my home away from home.  My family just got bigger.  See you again soon!  Michael, Jacksonville, FL

"We enjoyed so much that it took us forever to leave.  So much peace was found just looking out at the trees and mountain tops.  We are grateful to you two and your family and friends.  We are certain to see you for many years to come.  My son, Rodrigo, has already planned to come back and bring other friends with him.  It was such a pleasure to meet Florence.  She has a calming, joyful soul...."
Joelma, Joel, Rodrigo and Andrew   Hoschton & Atlanta, GA

"Tiny bunkhouse cabins, two hot tubs, extreme privacy, home cooked dinner and breakfast, incredibly nice shower house - no damp, cold, cement floor, no cinder block wall, super clean, nice wood, well lit.  Where else can you camp with privacy, bathhouse, and food that is as excellent as that at Mulberry Gap?  I surely don't know.  Even people who don't camp do Mulberry Gap."
Lon  Atlanta, GA

"What a treasured find this place is!  It has been a true gift and a spiritual blessing to me.  It is so amazingly beautiful and peaceful here.  And the food is fantastic.  Ginni and Diane are special people that treated us so well and took great care of us.  I can't wait to come back!"  Tonia, Acworth, GA

"I can't believe we've only been here 24 hours.  I feel so at home and like I've been here for a long time.  The two of you are such a gift in yourself and I can't wait to see all that you do with your wonderful place.  I have so enjoyed our time here and loved getting to share with you both."  Lorna, Canton, GA

"Places like this are few in our modern world. Places where one can enjoy natural surroundings, solitude, birdsong in the forest canopy and good company. Our best wishes to the folks here at Mulberry Gap."
Stephen & Amber - Wrangell, Alaska

"This place is absolutely wonderful and each time I come here I fall in love with the tall trees, blue sky and tranquility."
Gail, Ellijay GA

"Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful place to stay.  From the amazing views, to the calming stream, to the warm hot tub and best of all great healthy food.  We have enjoyed our weekend and will be back soon.  Thank you!"
Doyal and Liz, Dalton, GA

"We had such a wonderful weekend!  The mountain biking came second to our relaxing weekend here.  The meals were so delicious we had to ride a little longer so could have second helpings and dessert. :)  We'll be sure to tell other folks.  Thank you!"
Mindy and Phillip, Canton, GA

"Mulberry Gap Bunkhouse Inn - Ain' t nothing finer after a long mountain bike ride around the mountains of Ellijay, Georgia. The cooking is beyond fantastic, the water pressure is awesome, the hot tubs are hot and the atmosphere is downright spectacular. This is a year round rest stop for all your outdoor desires. Check it out!"
Bruce Dickman, SORBA Announcer - Atlanta, Georgia

"This Alaska Drifter was treated to fine hospitality and a peaceful retreat at Mulberry Gap."  Thank you!"

"All a great time and loved the food and hope to return soon."
Teddy, Jake, Jarrett & Chris

We love the food and hot tubs.  Great facilities, love the trails, can't wait to come back!"  Andrew and Kate, Vero Beach, FL

"Thanks for a great 'girls outing' night and the time to visit and Ginni's 'great food'.  This is a great place to enjoy hiking and beautiful settings and to wake up with all of Mother Nature. The birds, the bubbling creek and even the steep mountain to the home place setting.  Even though I needed a breathing machine, it was beautiful at the top.  Thanks, it's been fun!
The Girls Group, Murfreesboro, TN

"This was a very nice stay at Mulberry Gap.  We enjoyed it a lot.  We hope to come back soon and spend more time up here.  Great food and hospitality.  It is peaceful up here in the mountains and 10 degrees cooler than in town.  For anybody that stays here, you're going to have a great time!"
