Looking to head to the mountains for the holiday? Want to bring your pet(s) to a quiet space in the woods where they won’t be terrified of the sound of fireworks all night long? We’re here to help!
We’ve put together a sample itinerary of activities to enjoy that will interest just about anyone at any age!
Friday | July 1st
Hike to Emery Creek Waterfall!
Located just 3 miles from Mulberry Gap, nestled in northwest Georgia, Emery Creek Falls trail follows lush forest, fording multiple creek crossings to a pair of stunning, beautiful, remote waterfalls.
The trail is a refreshing, water-filled adventure, and especially fun in summer months: along its scenic length, the trail splashes through 20 creek crossings to the tumbling cascades of the secluded Emery Creek Falls.
As an out-n-back, the trail is right around 6 miles of mostly flat trail.

1:00pm-1:45pm - Travel to Location #1 (39 mins/23 miles)
1:45pm-2:45pm - Enjoy ENGELHEIM VINEYARDS - enjoy live music Sat./Sun.
2:45ppm-3:00pm - Travel to Location #2 (6 min/3.5 miles)
3:00ppm-4:00pm - Enjoy GRAPES & LADDERS VINEYARDS and WINERY - live music Sat.
4:00pm-4:15pm Travel to Location #3 (12 mins/7 miles)
4:15pm-5:15pm - Enjoy CARTECAY WINE & CRAFT - serving Cartecay Vineyard Wines, craft beers, and wine slushies! Located downtown Ellijay on The Square
5:15pm-5:45pm - Return to Mulberry Gap
6:00pm - Dinner in THE BARN at MULBERRY GAP (available at additional cost)

Children 5-11 ride at roughly half price. Young Children 4 and under ride free. :)

SundaY | July 3rd
Join us for our Unlimited Shuttle Day!
Purchase a Shuttle Pass for $42 and receive unlimited shuttles from 10am-4pm!
Whether you’re coming for the day or staying for the whole weekend, you can enjoy this full day of shuttles!
For one flat fee you’ll get parking (normally a “Day Guest Fee”), showers/towel rental, maps, and ALL SHUTTLES on that day are INCLUDED! Once you receive your wristband and can “hop on / hop off” the shuttles as they continue to circle every half an hour all day from 10am-4pm!

Shuttles will run roughly every 30 mins from 10am-4pm on Sunday! (Keep in mind we only have two shuttle vehicles, so we’ll do our best to keep up with everyone’s requests)
Monday | July 4th
Enjoy the Local Holiday Festivities!
If you’re looking for family-friendly list of activities for the day consider one of the following:
1. Blue Ridge Freedom 5K @ 11am
2. Downtown Ellijay Parade @ 6pm w/ fireworks starting at dusk
3. Lake Blue Ridge Fireworks from 9:30-10:30pm
If you’d prefer a quieter firework display with fewer crowds, consider driving up to Bear Creek Overlook or Cohutta Overlook to view from on top of the mountain! Bring a lawn chair and your own beverage, sit back and enjoy the sunset, then watch the firework displays from the surrounding counties all in one place!
