What is Mulberry Gap?

Mulberry Gap is an outdoor adventure basecamp in the North Georgia mountains near Ellijay. We offer cabins, camping, home-cooked meals, shuttles, and easy access to some of the Southeast's best mountain biking, gravel riding, bikepacking, hiking, trail running, and ADV routes.

Whether you're here to adventure, relax, or spend time with good people in the mountains, we're excited to welcome you here.

Are families and children welcome?

Families and children of all ages are welcome at Mulberry Gap. Children should be supervised at all times.

We also offer reduced rates for kids:

• Ages 0–4: Stay and eat FREE
• Ages 5–11: Reduced cabin and campsite rates

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Mulberry Gap welcomes everyone who enjoys the outdoors. We're committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming community and encouraging greater diversity in outdoor spaces.

Are you pet friendly?

Pets are welcome in our cabins and campsites.

Pet fees are:

• Campsites: $10 per pet, per night
• Cabins: $20 per pet, per night

We do not offer pet boarding or dog-sitting services while you're out riding or exploring.

BOOKING YOUR STAY

Which nights can I book?

We offer overnight lodging 7-days per week during our operating season (late February - mid December).

Is there a minimum stay?

Minimum stays may apply depending on the accommodation, dates, holidays, or special events.Our online booking system will show any minimum-stay requirements for the dates you select.

Weekends generally require a 2-night minimum. We accept 1-night stays Sunday-Thursday night

Is there a maximum stay?

We have a 12 day maximum stay! Exceptions can be made depending on circumstances.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Cabin and campsite check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. Check-out is 11:00 a.m.

You can reserve an early check-in anytime after 12:00pm for $30/cabin, or $15/campsite or a late check-out anytime between 11:00am-2:00pm for $30/cabin, or $15/campsite.

You can reserve these options during the booking process. If you've already reserved your space, please contact us to add!

What if I arrive after the office closes?

No problem. We'll provide the information you need for a self check-in.

Please review your arrival instructions before leaving cell service, as service is very limited once you get close to Mulberry Gap.

MEALS & AMENITIES

When are meals served?

• Breakfast is served at 8:30 am with coffee on at 7:30 am.
• Packed lunches will be available for pick up by 9:45 am following breakfast.
• Dinner (only available on special event and holiday weekends) is served at 6:00 pm.

Meal times are not flexible. It is recommended to arrive promptly for the best dining experience. Guests will not receive a refund for missing a meal, however, with advance notice, we are happy to save your plate which will be placed in the guest fridge in The Barn with your name on it. A microwave is located near the guest fridge.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes. Free, high speed fiber internet is available around much of the property, including common areas, cabins and most campsites.

Is there cell phone service?

Cell service at Mulberry Gap is very limited to nonexistent.

We highly recommend downloading maps, directions, reservation details, and anything else you may need before you arrive.

Once you're here, please be sure to turn on "Wi-Fi Calling" on your dvice.

What's available in The Barn?

The Barn is the heart of Mulberry Gap and one of our main shared gathering spaces.

Depending on the season and what's happening around the property, you'll find space to eat, relax, play games, hang out with other guests, and catch a game or event on TV.

Can I watch my football team?

The Barn is open to our guests 24/7 and has a 60-inch flat screen TV with a sports package so you can stay up to date with your favorite sports team.

Where are the bathrooms and showers?

Cabins without private bathrooms and our campsites have access to shared bathhouses with toilets and hot showers.

Where are the hot tubs?

We have shared hot tubs available for registered guests.

Their locations are shown on our property map, and they're open until 11:00 p.m. Please review our Guest Rules & Property Policies for hot-tub guidelines.

CAMPING & RVs

Do your campsites have hookups?

• Electricity is available at Barn Camp #1 and #2, Group Camp #1 and #2, and Car/Van Campsite #1 & #2.
• The Brook Campsites do not have electricity.
• None of our campsites have water or septic hook-ups.

Guests have access to plenty of free, potable water, shared bathhouses and other Mulberry Gap amenities.

What size RV or camper can you accommodate?

This depends on the campsite. You can learn more here.

ADVENTURES & GETTING AROUND

Do you offer shuttles?

Yes! We offer shuttles to a variety of mountain biking, gravel, bikepacking, hiking, and other adventure destinations throughout the area.

Routes, availability, minimums, and pricing vary, so check our Book a Shuttle page for current options.

Advance reservations are highly recommended.

Do you rent bikes?

We partner with local bike shops for rental bikes. Learn more here.

What if my bike needs a major repair?

We keep basic tools and supplies available for minor adjustments, but Mulberry Gap is not a full-service bike shop.

For major repairs, parts, suspension work, or other mechanical issues, our crew can help point you toward nearby bike shops.

Where can I find maps?

What's the closest airport?

Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) is the primary major airport for most guests traveling to Mulberry Gap.

We'd also encourage you to consider the Chattanooga Airport (CHA) to make travel easier on you.

How do I get from the airport to Mulberry Gap?

Mulberry Gap is located in a rural mountain area, so there isn't regular public transportation between the airport and our property.

Most guests rent a vehicle or arrange transportation in advance. There are plenty of shuttle options to and from the airports.

Do you offer discounts?

We offer several discounts for eligible guests and groups, including select service, stewardship, youth/education, human-powered travel, and group discounts.
