Host An Event

Mulberry Gap is the perfect rustic destination for your mountain bike wedding, business retreat, women's weekend, bachelor(ette) party, yoga retreat, birthday bash or family reunion. The possibilities are endless and the memories will last a lifetime.

HOST AN EVENT AT MULBERRY GAP

We’re an awesome place to come hang out! Mulberry Gap can accommodate up to 85 people in our overnight accommodations (from shared to private cabins, campsites, and car/van camping spaces). Our Barn quickly converts to an indoor meeting space. Nearby, there are a wide assortment of outdoor activities; hiking, biking, fishing, paddling and more! We have local partners and resources for group yoga sessions, live music, massage, and guided hikes or rides. We’ve previously hosted everything from weddings, bike industry product launches and media camps to yoga retreats, birthday parties, private events, staff retreats, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and anniversaries! Want to find out more about hosting an event at Mulberry Gap? Reach out at 706.698.2865 or email reservations@mulberrygap.com.

  1. SMALL GROUP (3-12 folks) Planning a small group clinic, coaching session, or event for fewer than 12 participants/guests? Check out info specific to SMALL GROUP EVENTS here!

  2. LARGER INFORMAL EVENT (12+ folks) Looking to bring a group of 12 or more to party, relax, or work/learn? Read about MULBERRY GAP TAKEOVERS below.

  3. LARGER FORMAL/OFFICIAL EVENT (12+ folks) Planning a WEDDING, CORPORATE EVENT, or other LARGE EVENT? Read on below for more options!

Are you a FORMAL/OFFICIAL EVENT that will have event fees, a formal agreement, etc.? Or are you just a group of people with a big booking? :) You will be an event with a formal agreement if any of these four things are true:

  • Is your reservation in the name of an event, company, or organization?

  • Is this stay going to generate profit for you or a company/organization?

  • Are you holding five (5) or more cabins?

  • Are you setting up a payment plan instead of paying the full amount all at once?

PLAN A TAKEOVER!

Do you have a CLUB? A TEAM? A SOCIAL MEDIA GROUP who would like to meet up in the real world for once?

Plan a Group Ride or Weekend Getaway for your club, team, or workplace group! Maybe you have an online social media group that would like to get together in real life for a weekend on the trails? You can plan a takeover in just a few easy steps! The best part is there’s no actual cost or fee for hosting a takeover if you’re sharing the property with other regular guests… just the normal costs of cabins, camping, meals and shuttles. And you can even SAVE money by registering as a group for the Group Discount AND getting enough folks to get a takeover credit perk. :)

  • Decide if you’d like SHARED USAGE or EXCLUSIVE USAGE of Mulberry Gap during your takeover.

  • Decide if you’d like each person to register individually, or if you’d like to register as a GROUP (and be eligible for our Group Discounts! 3-4 guests- 10% off cabin/campsite housing 5-9 guests- 15% off cabin/campsite housing, 10+ guests- 20% off cabin/campsite housing)

  • Work out the dates with us, and tell all your folks how to get signed up!

  • Decide how you’d like to use your Takeover Group Perk Credit(s)

Takeover Group Perk - For every 12 participants who book housing and meals for the weekend your group will receive a gift certificate/credit for $250. (Group must have a minimum spend of $1,000 to qualify for the $250 credit.) This is roughly equivalent to a free cabin stay with meals for one person!  (For single day/group ride events this amount is $50/12 participants)

Ideas for how you might use these credits:

  • Offer it up in a drawing or contest for folks who register to attend your takeover.

  • Use it for financial aid for a group member who might struggle to attend.

  • Pay for the stay of the one person who coordinates the group sign up so you are all eligible to get the group discounts as a thank you for doing that job.

  • Pay for the stay of the owner/organizer/coach/etc. of the group.

  • Use the credit to pay for shuttles / a meal / swag / drinks / etc. from the retail store for your group.

  • Pay for the stay/meals of a special guest or presenter to join your group.

Coyote Ugly has hosted 2 events (coming up on our 3rd) at Mulberry Gap Adventure Basecamp! It’s the perfect location to host trail races (and other fun events) because you’re so close to the trails! They have the perfect setup with onsite camping and cabins, meals, swag (super comfy shirts), and supplies you might’ve forgotten. Aspen roots collective rugged renewal retreat

spring 2022

Hosting participants for our Rugged Renewal retreats at Mulberry Gap has been a dream come true. We come for the beauty of the natural world, to unplug and re-center ourselves, in connection to both the external and internal landscape.... and the truth is, the amenities, setting, and staff of Mulberry Gap enable a deeper experience. Cabins, campsites, and bathhouses have been built and tended with quality and care. Hot tubs and spaces for yoga and hammocks invite a slowing and savoring. Meals are delicious and the camp schedule and hiking shuttles simplify the day, which leaves more energy and space for adventure, rest, and play. Add to this the little conversations held throughout with the shuttle driver, cook, or whoever may be running the camp store and you get to receive expert hospitality that truly does deepen the experience.

Media Coverage

Mulberry Gap is a great home away from home and we were lucky to have them as such great hosts during the last two years of the Maxxis Summit. Whether it was helping plan lodging, ride plans, or meals, Kate and Andrew were quick to assist with anything we needed to ensure the success of our event. It’s truly a special place for adult summer camp vibes and down-home Southern hospitality, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Bell Joy Ride Ambassador Camp

spring 2018

Kate and the Mulberry Gap crew were more than I ever could have hoped for. Our Bell Joy Ride Camp was a success because of the personalized attention we were given. Kate and crew went above and beyond to make the event smooth and memorable—not to mention delicious (Ginny’s cooking is to die for!). Mulberry Gap is a very special place—the cabins are adorable, the Barn is an awesome central meeting area, the hot tubs were delightful, and there is a pump track to boot! Our group of lady shredders absolutely enjoyed the trails and appreciated the shuttles (provided by MG). I can’t wait to go back...I’m trying to figure out which friends I can convince to throw their weddings/birthdays/bachelorettes—you name it—at Mulberry Gap. Thank you all so much!
— Azure Serafini, Art Director//Bell Helmets
Bell Helmets came to Mulberry Gap for an annual strategy meeting/team building event. I plan a lot of events and working with Kate was fantastic, she was so helpful and responsive which definitely helps you sleep at night when planning an event from across the country. We had high expectations but had no idea how amazing this place and these people are. We were all blown away! The attention to detail is incredible, the team is so friendly and helpful and fun to work with. Don’t even get me started on Grandma Ginny’s cheesy grits! OMG! Heaven! (They provided homecooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our group of 55). I can’t rave enough about our experience. Oh yeah, did I mention the rad riding trails? The rides they led, the beautiful cabins and creek, the hot tubs, and koi pond? The gorgeous barn where we had our meals and meetings? This place is truly magical. This team is just stellar. We will be back again, and again. Thank you so much for making our event amazing!

Liv Cycling Ambassador Camp

spring 2017

This March, we hosted our first East Coast Liv Ambassador Camp at Mulberry Gap Mountain Bike Get-A-Way. We were extremely impressed with the small family staff that helped make each part of our experience special. Their facility accommodated all of our guests comfortably, allowed us to host a variety events from skills clinics to yoga to pump track races. One important element was their flexibility. We were able to work with them on a menu that suited our needs at the last minute, they arranged a mountain bike shuttle service for our 2 ride experiences. And not to mention, the mountain bike riding is exceptional and the venue is absolutely beautiful! We hope to make this an annual camp location!
