flexibility & transparency

We know that there are as many different types of weddings and events as there are folks who have a reason to celebrate! Mulberry Gap is happy to help you put together just the event you’re hoping for… whether that’s a laid-back, special event that doesn’t break the bank, or a blow-out bash with all the bells and whistles!

Either way, no one is excited about hidden fees and surprise additions, so we make sure you can see EXACTLY what the costs are from the beginning so you can design the event you want, at the price point you’re expecting. :)

Pricing an event: The first fOUR questions to ask

1) Day or Overnight / Weekend Event? Day events are often the easiest and most flexible! You simply choose the items that apply to your event (meal(s), space, parking, etc. Day events will almost always need to be on a shared-usage basis with the potential for other guests around. Overnight events have lots of variation, ranging from a few people camping out to buying out the whole venue for exclusive use.

2) Shared or Exclusive Use? If you’re looking at an overnight event, you’ll need to determine if you’d like to reserve the entire Mulberry Gap venue for exclusive use, or if your event is suitable with other guests on the property and at meal times. In general, Exclusive Use comes at a significantly higher price point than shared used, but also comes with all the flexibility to set your own menus, meal times, and to place guests in all the cabins and campsites.

3) Weekend or Midweek Days? Weekend options offer great availability for your guests to join you for your event, but also comes with a two-night minimum and a higher price point. Midweek stays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights) only require a one night stay AND have reduced midweek cabin and campsite rates, so can come in at a much lower price point than weekend options.

4) Regular or Low Season Dates? And lastly, if you’re planning an event from Mid-March through the 4th of July, or Labor Day through Thanksgiving, your rates will fall in our standard-season rates. If you have the option to plan an event in December-Early March, or in July-August you’ll be eligible for our reduced low-season rates.

Based on the type of event, days of the week, and time of the year, Mulberry Gap can offer a wide variety of price points. In general a LOW SEASON, MID-WEEK, SHARED USE event would have the lowest rates, while a STANDARD SEASON, WEEKEND, EXCLUSIVE USE event would come in at the highest price point.

Do we have to pay everything upfront? Nope! An initial payment of ⅓ of the total will hold and confirm your event registration. 50% of this initial payment is non-refundable. A second payment of 1/3 of the total will be due at the midpoint between your reservation and the event itself, and the remainder of any balance is due one month prior to the event.

This looks great! How can I talk to a live person and find out more details? We’d love to talk to you! Just fill out this quick Event Questionnaire (2-3 minutes) and we reach out to you very quickly, usually the same day.
