Tori Barrett
Sr. Manager of People, Events, and Business Development
Tori grew up in the world of summer youth camping and spent 20 years as a summer camp director before joining the Mulberry Gap team in 2019. She loves just about every flavor of outdoor adventure, including hiking and backpacking, sailing and kayaking, and climbing. She spent her formative years as a road biker (back when road biking and gravel biking were basically the same thing 😄), logging endless flat miles on Iowa highways and farm-country gravel. To this day, she has still never made the leap into the exciting world of mountain biking — and remains completely at peace with that.
When indoors is calling, you’ll usually find her curled up with her partner, Jess, and her herding-dogs-without-a-herd, Izzii and Elidi. She genuinely enjoys spending her free time absorbing a wide variety of nerdy media, practicing yoga, playing guitar, and attempting to make ever more creative and delicious recipes… with mixed (but enthusiastic) results.
Professionally, Tori brings a people-first, systems-loving approach to her work. She thrives at the intersection of teams, communication, and logistics — whether that means supporting staff and volunteers, coordinating events and experiences, shaping clear and human messaging, or keeping the behind-the-scenes details running smoothly. She has a particular soft spot for well-run operations, thoughtful processes, and a truly balanced spreadsheet, and is happiest when good ideas, good people, and good planning come together to create meaningful experiences.
