Women’s Intro to Bikepacking
July 10–12 | Mulberry Gap Adventure Basecamp
Curious about bikepacking but not quite ready to go all-in solo? This Women’s Intro to Bikepacking weekend is designed to help you build confidence, skills, and comfort with overnight riding—without the pressure of going it alone.
This is a supported, beginner-friendly bikepacking experience focused on learning, community, and enjoying a beautiful overnight ride in the North Georgia mountains.
What the Weekend Looks Like:
Friday | Settle In
We’ll kick things off with a Friday night stay at Mulberry Gap, giving everyone time to arrive, get organized, and connect.
Group dinner provided Friday night at 6pm
Time to review gear, routes, and expectations
Overnight lodging at Mulberry Gap (cabin or campsite)
Saturday | Ride Out + Camp
After breakfast, we’ll ride out together, climbing up toward Bear Creek.
Multiple route options available so we can make a plan that works for all
Regroup and camp together at Bear Creek Campground
Packed lunch provided for the ride
Participants will need: Your bike, your sleep system (tent, hammock, etc.), your cooking gear and food to feed yourself Saturday dinner and Sunday Breakfast. A full packing list with be sent to you via email with your registration.
Sunday | Ride Back
We’ll break camp, enjoy a self-supported breakfast, and ride back to Mulberry Gap together—ending the weekend with new skills, confidence, and trail friendships.

Participants should be prepared to carry food and cook for themselves Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Your bike
Your sleep system (tent, hammock, bivvy, etc.)
Your cooking and water equipment
Who This Is For:
Women who are new to bikepacking or looking for a low-pressure overnight.
Riders comfortable on gravel or mountain bikes who want to learn pacing, packing, and camping basics.
Anyone excited about learning, problem-solving, and sharing the experience with other women.
This weekend welcomes ALL women, non-binary folks, and anyone whose gender identity aligns with a women-focused event.
Girl riders ages 13+ are welcome to participate in this event when an adult parent or guardian is also registered to participate. Girls under age 13 are not eligible to participate at this time. (Guardians, keep in mind that this is an adult-focused event so minors might be exposed to folks conversing about mature topics, using adult language, and partaking in alcoholic beverages).
You don’t need to have it all figured out—that’s the point. We’ll learn together, ride together, and build skills you can take into future adventures.
